Afternoon musings from a Lana overdose:
I slept, I slept, I slept. Did I die?
Oh, my God, I feel it in the air
Telephone wires above are sizzling like a snare
Honey, I’m on fire, I feel it everywhere
Nothing scares me anymore
I slept (I died) for one hour; under a blanket of boomer, my dreams swirled in technicolor grayscale.
Is my life real? Waking, I am disoriented. The light changes through the blinds; or does it? Is the earth spinning faster or has it stopped? Launch the shuttle to the east.
Dinner’s in the oven, honey, and the dishes are done.
Shower for an hour.
Mirror mirror on the wall…who’s there?
Is that my face? Is that my body? Is that my soul?
“Well nevermind. We are ugly, but we have the music.”
