day 179: naked as we came

it undressed me,
the light
above our visible range
peaked beneath my gown
slipped through my skin
and darted past my muscle and ligaments
and tendons
it kissed my organs,
my heart
such a flirt
captured some and sent the rest away
my ribs denied its advances
my spine was unkind.
chilled to the bone,
the light scattered.

they dyed my insides
so the magnets could excite
a spin.
my muscle, so modest for Compton,
and for all the world
looked like
a tasty
piece of

don’t eat me

My sistwer danced her last dance today. She was beautiful on stage. She is even more beautiful in regular life. I cried.
